homeroom games sends automated text messages (SMS) to players through Twilio. This page describes the messaging program and exactly how you opt in, so you know what to expect.

How you opt in (Call to Action)

You opt in inside the homeroom games web app when you create your account. On the sign-in sheet you enter your mobile number and are shown the disclosure below; by checking the consent box and continuing, you agree to receive automated game-notification text messages. Consent is not a condition of using the app. You can play without enabling notifications, and you can turn notifications on or off per game in the app at any time.

Consent language shown at sign-up: “I agree to receive automated text messages from homeroom games about my games, including turn reminders, game results, and rematch requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. Consent is not required to play.”

What we send

We only text you about games you are actually participating in. These are transactional, account-related messages, not marketing.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Help and opt-out

Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe at any time. You can also mute notifications per game inside the app. Replying STOP ends all automated game notifications.

Privacy

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with Twilio to deliver the messages you requested. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for full details.
